Black/Noire
XR Immerisve Experience
Winner of the Immersive Competition at the Cannes Festival in 2024, Black/Noire is an augmented reality installation that highlights the relentless fight against racial violence and injustice. Inspired by Tania De Montaigne's historical essay Noire, this 35-minute immersive experience leverages HoloLens technology to tell the story of Claudette Colvin, a courageous fifteen-year-old who defied segregation by refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus in Alabama.
With a seamless integration of physical and virtual realities, this 360° immersive experience offers an engaging and profoundly transformative interaction.
